Finally after several years I have figured out who John Crosby is. William Hendry as far as I knew didn’t have any cousins with the last name Crosby. It ends up that Elizabeth Hendry nee Darby, that her mother Mary McDonald had a sister Hannah and Hannah married James Cosbey. Hannah and James had a son named John. So it wasn’t really William’s cousin it was his wife’s cousin.
